Retreat Inspired Living is a passion project born from a simple belief: your home should feel like a getaway, not just a place you sleep.

How This Started

My wife and I have always loved the feeling of retreats, the kind of places where everything is designed for relaxation, connection, and quiet enjoyment. A cabin with a fire pit out back. A spa with a barrel sauna tucked into the trees. A reading nook that makes you forget about your inbox.

At some point we stopped asking “where can we go to feel like that?” and started asking “why can’t our home feel like that?” That question became this site.

What We’re Doing Here

Retreat Inspired Living is where we document the process of turning our own home and property into the retreat we’ve always wanted, and share everything we learn along the way. That means honest product recommendations, practical buying guides, and setup advice for anyone who wants to create spaces that feel intentional, peaceful, and worth spending time in.

We cover everything from backyard saunas and fire pit setups to cozy reading nooks, calm home offices, and organized workshops. If it makes your home feel more like a retreat, it’s our kind of thing.

What You Won’t Find Here

We don’t do thin product roundups with no real recommendations. We don’t feature products just because they pay a commission. And we don’t pretend to be a luxury magazine. Most of the products and ideas we share are accessible for normal people with normal budgets.

When we recommend something, it’s because we’d genuinely use it ourselves. When something isn’t worth the money, we’ll say so.
